Myspace Comeback...?

Just saw an article (on Facebook, ironically enough) about Myspace.  Now that Justin Timberlake is investing in the company, it seems like they're trying to steer it in a whole new direction. They're doing a total redesign of the site.

According to the company, "We’re hard at work building the new Myspace, entirely from scratch. But we’re staying true to our roots in one important way—empowering people to express themselves however they want. So whether you’re a musician, photographer, filmmaker, designer or just a dedicated fan, we’d love for you to be a part of our brand new community."

They've got a teaser page, "new.myspace.com", where you can enter your email to receive an invite to the new site.

Here's a teaser video, showing what the "new" Myspace will look like:

It looks a little like Pinterest to me.  What do you think?  Will the redesign work for Myspace?  Would you be willing to sign up for the new site?  Or do you think that ship has sailed?

I'm definitely curious to see if Justin Timberlake and his team can pull it off...

Holla at ya boi!
