Updates!

Slacker?  Yep, that's me lately!  My bad!!  I've got a couple quick updates tho!!

The Balloon Drop at Baja?  That went really well; better than expected, actually!

The Halloween Bash at CYL was crazy!!  We had such a good turn out that we were slightly OVER capacity (no worries tho, a lot of ppl just gathered outside on the patio...you can still hear the music/drink/smoke out there)!!  Also outside on the patio was Truna (aka: the fire breather who popped in to do a quick fire show), and a badass ice luge which had "Happy Halloween" on the front and a spider on the top!!  Ice gave out some cash prizes for misc things ("First person to come to the DJ booth and dance "Gangnam Style" was one), and of course the BIG cash prize of $300 (which went to the Siamese twins)!!

Coming up:

I haven't made up a calendar with Ice's schedule for November because it is pretty much standard now:  Fridays at CYL, Saturdays at Baja.  Only other thing to add for November (so far): Ice will be at CYL on Wednesday, Nov. 21st for the Thanksgiving Eve Party!  

Please check Ice's Facebook page for event updates (we'll have at least one more event in Nov for CYL, and events pretty much every Sat at Baja)!  This coming Saturday at Baja: Coyote Ugly night!  Best Coyote Ugly bar dance wins a cash prize!  Drink specials all night, no cover, 18+!

Balloon Drop!

So, we have been wondering exactly WHAT to bring to Baja Beach Club.  A general weekly theme, different themes each week, what?  Well, this past Saturday, we brainstormed with K (one of the bartenders at Baja, and owner of Tasteless Candy Clothing Co.).  Starting this weekend, Saturdays will now be "Sinful Saturday"!  One theme, but different prizes/giveaways every week!!!!

This week, we'll be doing a balloon drop.....the balloons will contain a total of $300 in CASH prizes!  There will be $4 drink specials before 11pm, and "red light" drink specials throughout the night (so watch for the flashing red light and get to the bar)!!!!

Also, when you get to Baja, if you can show K that you have "Liked" the Tasteless Candy Facebook page, you'll get a raffle ticket to win a cash prize!!  So, spread the word and come out to win some cash, have some great drinks, and hear some awesome music!!!!!

Pink & Black Party

The Pink & Black Party (Friday's event for Breast Cancer Awareness) at CYL went really well!  With wristband sales and raffle ticket sales, we raised over $1300 for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (American Cancer Society)!!!  Thanks to everyone who attended and to those who didn't attend, but still bought wristbands/donated!  We intend to make this a yearly event!!!!

Breast Cancer Awareness Fund-Raiser at CYL at Night! Friday, October 12th!

Hey what's up everybody!

As you might know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!  In honor of this, CYL At Night has decided to hold a fund-raiser during the month of October!

Come party for a great cause!  All during the month of October, CYL will be selling special VIP "CYL Cares" wristbands. These wristbands will entitle the wearer to half-price drinks during the month of October, on Friday and Saturday nights from 9-11pm.  The wristbands cost $10 each, and all proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society!

To buy a bracelet, stop by CYL at Night, located at 520 South Street, Bow, NH.  Or call Elissa at 603-219-6277!

Not only that, but on Friday, October 12th, we will be holding a Pink & Black Party, to benefit breast cancer research.  Everyone who shows up gets one free raffle ticket for a change to win a prize.  We will also be selling additional $2 raffle tickets for a chance to win even BIGGER prizes!  All proceeds from raffle ticket sales will also be donated to the American Cancer Society!

Myspace Comeback...?

Just saw an article (on Facebook, ironically enough) about Myspace.  Now that Justin Timberlake is investing in the company, it seems like they're trying to steer it in a whole new direction. They're doing a total redesign of the site.

According to the company, "We’re hard at work building the new Myspace, entirely from scratch. But we’re staying true to our roots in one important way—empowering people to express themselves however they want. So whether you’re a musician, photographer, filmmaker, designer or just a dedicated fan, we’d love for you to be a part of our brand new community."

They've got a teaser page, "new.myspace.com", where you can enter your email to receive an invite to the new site.

Fire breather & Ice luge
for the Fire & Ice Party!!!

Friday night was the Fire & Ice Party/September Birthday Bash, and holy s**t was it FUN!  There was an ice luge for shots, a fire breather/performer, birthday cake, and a fantastic crowd!!!  The next morning, I got on Facebook and my whole newsfeed was people talking about the party!  Here's some of what people had to say:
